This is a wonderful passage, consisting of a five part chorale with the main melody played by the left hand in the third voice, two upper voices played by the right hand and two lower voices played by the left and right foot respectively. Of course, the double pedal asks for special attention; it is not easy to play these two melodic lines fluently and cantabile. Also the left hand playing on two manuals at the same time is a tour de force; to achieve this, the wrist and the fingers have to be very relaxed and flexible. In addition, the right hand has its two independent voices to take care of.

Dit is een bijzonder mooie passage, een vijfstemmig koraal met de hoofdmelodie gespeeld door de linkerhand in de middenstem, twee bovenstemmen gespeeld door de rechterhand en twee onderstemmen gespeeld door respectievelijk de linker- en de rechtervoet. Natuurlijk verdient het dubbelpedaal bijzonder aandacht; het is niet eenvoudig deze twee melodische lijnen vloeiend en zangrijk te spelen. Ook het bespelen van twee manualen tegelijkertijd door de linkerhand is een tour de force; om dit met succes te doen moeten de pols en de vingers heel ontspannen en flexibel zijn. Daarbij speelt de rechterhand nog eens twee onafhankelijke stemmen die met zorg dienen te worden ingestudeerd.
